Croatian Pride Day with food, music

The fourth annual Croatian Pride Day will begin at noon Saturday at St. George Croatian Center, 3200 Vestal Road. Admission is $3.

The event will include vendors selling food, handmade items, music and more.

Food will include chicken paprikash, cevapcici, kolbasice, schnitzel, sarma, cheese gibanica, palachinka, strudel, kolachi, potato salad, soups and coleslaw. To order take-out items, call Renee at 330-788-2154 in advance.

Actress to portray Jacqueline Kennedy

Actress Carol Starre-Kmiecik will perform a one-woman show as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Saturday at the Girard Free Library, 105 E. Prospect St.

The event, a fundraiser for the library, will begin at noon with a luncheon, followed by the performance. Tickets are $35.

Jellybricks song is ‘coolest in the world’

The Jellybricks’ song “Rock ‘n’ Roll Suicide” has been chosen as Coolest Song in the World for the week of March 25 by Little Steven (Stevie Van Zandt) for his syndicated “Underground Garage” radio show. The show airs on 200 radio stations worldwide, including at 10 p.m. Sunday on Youngstown radio station WNCD-93.3 FM. The Jellybricks are a Harrisburg, Pa.-based power pop band that includes Boardman native Larry Kennedy on guitar and lead vocals. “Rock ‘n’ Roll Suicide” is on the band’s latest album, “Suckers.”
