Easter Seals presents fundraiser walk

The Easter Seals are hosting “Make the First Five Count” walk on April 14 at Boardman Park. The walk raises awareness in the community on how the first five years of life are crucial to every young child’s development. Identification and early intervention will guide a child at risk of development delays, disabilities or Autism the support they need to learn, build lifelong skills and live up to their full potential.

Registration is free beginning at 9 a.m. at the Elton Beard Cabin. Walkers who raise $25 or more will receive an official walk T-shirt. The walk will begin at 9:30 a.m. and will be led by Lily and Cameron, Easter Seals 2012 Child Representatives.

All proceeds from the walk will benefit Easter Seals and Youngstown Hearing and Speech Center programs and services for children and adults with disabilities and special needs.

For more information, visit www.mtc.easterseals.com or call Easter Seals Development Department at 330-726-8855 and register to walk.
