‘Cheers for Alissa’ fundraiser planned

HANOVERTON

United High School, 8143 state Route 9, will be the site of “Cheers for Alissa,” a fundraiser sponsored by the school cheerleaders and Style at the Lake Hair Salon from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Alissa Boyle, a United alumna, was recently injured while helping a motorist at a car accident. The event will include a bake sale, concession stand, basketball throw, cornhole tournament, face painting, soccer kick and silent auction. All proceeds will help with expenses incurred from the accident.
