Woman found dead of apparent overdose at restaurant near YSU

YOUNGSTOWN — Police and the Mahoning County Coroner’s office are investigating the apparent death of a woman by overdose in the bathroom of a fast-food restaurant near Youngstown State University campus.

Youngstown and YSU police were called to the Taco Bell restaurant on Fifth Avenue at about 1:30 p.m. today. Employees called police after discovering an unresponsive female in the bathroom.

Police said the woman died from an apparent drug overdose. Authorities did not give out the woman’s age or name.
