Weekend event to focus on repurposed artwork

The Rust Belt Theater Company will present a weekend of music, food and repurposed artwork.
The event will juxtapose local musicians with the work of local artists who work with recycled materials. Hours are 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
The weekend will begin with an art show and complimentary hors d’oeuvres and refreshments. Entertainment will begin at 7 p.m. with resident Rust Belt Theater musicians Nicole Zayas, Josh Taylor and Rached Tabbara performing acoustic covers. The Tribe of EOS belly-dance troupe will perform at 7:30 p.m. A fashion show featuring clothing, jewelry and accessories made of salvaged and recycled materials will begin at 8 p.m.
The main act of the evening will be local singer and pianist Bernadette Lim, who will perform at 8:30 p.m. Sunday will feature an art sale from noon to 5 p.m., with music and food vendors.
The Rust Belt Theater Company is located in the Calvin Center at 755 Mahoning Avenue, just outside of downtown Youngstown. Admission to this event is free.
