‘Greater Tuna’ Small-town life gets a comedic look

Staff report

SALEM

Salem Community Theater, 490 E. State St., Salem, will present “Greater Tuna” for two weekends beginning Friday.

This comedic look at small-town life features two actors — Terry Shears and Tommy O’Donnell — playing more than 20 characters. Mark Frost is the director.

“I am really excited to be working with two great actors as the cast of my first non-musical production,” said Frost. “They have eagerly accepted the challenge of creating all of these funny people, including the physically demanding task of dozens of quick costume changes.”

Shears most recently played Friar Lawrence in the Youngstown Playhouse production of “Romeo and Juliet.”

“Greater Tuna” will be presented at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. Call 330-332-9688.
