Pittsburgh armored car heist on TV’s ‘Most Wanted’

PITTSBURGH (AP) — The FBI is hoping television viewers can help them catch a man accused of stealing more than $2.3 million from the armored car he was paid to guard after allegedly shooting a fellow guard in Pittsburgh on Feb. 28.

The case of 22-year-old Kenneth Konias, of Dravosburg, will be featured on “America’s Most Wanted” on the Lifetime cable network on Friday at 9 p.m.

A Pittsburgh homicide detective investigating the case is one of those who has been interviewed for the episode. Pittsburgh FBI spokesman Special Agent William Crowley says the show has been “extremely successful” in generating tips about other fugitives in the past.

Konias is charged with killing his guard partner, 31-year-old Michael Haines, who was found fatally shot in the back of their Garda Cash Logistics truck.
