ALLIANCES

Ohio Cultural Alliance will have a dinner meeting at 6 p.m. April 2 at St. Matthias Church Hall, 715 Cornell Ave., Youngstown. Vincent Shivers, local historian, will depict the “resonating voice” of P. Ross Berry, the prolific masonry and brick contractor from Youngstown. Josh Green and Nikita R. Jones will sing selections from the musical “Ragtime.” Carolyn Catering will prepare the meal. Membership costs $25 per person, and the cost of each meeting is $15 per paid-up member and $20 for each nonmember. Reservations may be mailed to OCA, P.O. Box 561, Canfield, OH 44406, by March 27. Those attending are encouraged to take nonperishable food items, which will be given to Heart Ministries.

ASSOCIATIONS

Columbiana and Mahoning County Beekeepers Association will meet Sunday at the MetroParks Farm. A potluck lunch at 1 p.m. will precede the meeting at 2.

William Penn Association Branch 28 of Youngstown will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Boardman Eat’n Park Restaurant. Meeting topics include upcoming events, bowling, golf, a bus trip and future socials.

National Active and Retired Federal Employees Chapter 2122 will meet at 1 p.m. March 20 in the community activity building at the Youngstown Air Reserve Station in Vienna. The Youngstown Chapter of International Torch Clubs will host speaker Paul McFadden at its dinner-discussion meeting at 6 p.m. Monday in the Bresnahan Rooms in Kilcawley Center at Youngstown State University. McFadden, recently named president of the YSU Foundation, will focus on the history and programs of the foundation and its impact on the community.
