The Ohio Supreme Court rules that the city of Akron is without authority to issue licenses for boats on city-owned reservoirs. The ruling will also apply to Youngstown, which had been collecting about $10,000 a year for boating licenses on Lake Milton.

1937: Tony Vivo, standout athlete at Youngstown College, credits Christ Mission for his development, saying he was a sickly, puny youngster when he came under the care and direction of Ray Hagstrom and his staff at the mission.
Youngstown leads the nation in the gain of credit sales in February over January, according to a report published by the National Retail Credit Association in St. Louis.
