Funds established
WARREN
Memorial and burial funds have been established at all Huntington Bank locations in the names of the four people killed in a March 3 house fire on Austin Avenue Northwest.
Donations can be made to The Holmes-Bruner Fund and/or The Edtawn Lashawn Kimble Scholarship Fund, said Cheryl Saffold, Warren city councilwoman.
Killed were Yolanda Holmes; her daughters Mari’Auna Holmes, 13, and Marniece Holmes, 9; and Yolanda’s fianc , Edtawn Kimble.
New traffic patterns
YOUNGSTOWN
Beginning Monday, the following traffic patterns will be in place on Interstate 680 at Midlothian Boulevard:
I-680 northbound and southbound over Midlothian Boulevard will be reduced to two lanes in each direction.
The I-680 southbound exit ramp to Midlothian Boulevard south will be closed through late September.
The southbound Midlothian Boulevard ramp to I-680 northbound will be closed through late September.
This work is the beginning of a $4.5 million project to provide concrete overlays to six bridges on I-680 between U.S. Route 224 and South Avenue. The entire project will be completed by October, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation District 4.
Golf course to open
YOUNGSTOWN
The city-owned Henry Stambaugh Golf Course on Gypsy Lane will open at 8 a.m. Monday.
Discount rates are available weekdays between 8 a.m. and noon. Membership and discount books can be purchased at the park and recreation office at city hall, 26 S. Phelps St., through Friday or at the course beginning Monday.

Easter egg hunt
NEW MIDDLETOWN
Area children are invited to a community Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m. March 31 on the grounds behind the Springfield Elementary School on Youngstown-Pittsburgh Road.
The event is a cooperative effort of churches and community groups.
Novak and Davis Insurance will donate the grand prize basket and there will be 75 other prizes handed out.
In case of inclement weather, treat bags will be handed out in the school.
Famine event
BOARDMAN
Twenty-five students and adults from four churches will participate in a 30-hour famine event from 7 a.m. Friday to 1 p.m. Saturday to learn about the issue of hunger in the world. As many as 11,000 children die daily from hunger and related causes and hunger affects 925 million people worldwide.
Participants are Good Hope Lutheran in Boardman, New Life Lutheran in Liberty, Zion Lutheran in Cornersburg and Lord of Life in Canfield.
From 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, students will assist in the monthly food distribution at Zion Lutheran, 3300 Canfield Road.
