Police: Man stalked woman, found in closet

GREENSBURG, Pa. (AP) — State police say they’re trying to determine whether a 59-year-old man charged with breaking into the apartment of a college student and stalking the woman has victimized anybody else after finding several photos of other young women in his home.

John Bennish, of Greensburg, doesn’t have a listed phone and his attorney did not immediately return a call Wednesday on charges publicized by the state police.

Police charged Bennish with burglary, trespassing and stalking when a maintenance man allegedly found him in the Seton Hill College student’s apartment with a pair of another women’s underwear wrapped in a blanket the student owned on March 3.

Police then searched Bennish’s apartment and found pornography, a sex toy and 13 pictures of other women. Police publicized that to determine whether women in the other pictures may have been targeted, too.
