Probe into shooting
YOUNGSTOWN
Police are continuing to investigate a shooting that left one man dead and another injured. As of Sunday night, no arrest had been made.
Damon Hodges, 34, was found dead about 11 a.m. Saturday in his home in the 100 block of North Lane Avenue, and Dustin Greenwalt, 25, was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center for gunshot wounds in the same incident, according to reports. Police said Greenwalt called 911 for help and was found on the back porch of a neighboring house.
The Mahoning County coroner’s office is waiting for autopsy results before ruling on the official cause of Hodges’ death.

Blood drives scheduled this week in the Northern Ohio Region are as follows: Grace Church, 140 S Main St., Columbiana, 1 to 6 p.m. Friday and Austintown Red Cross Donation Center, 57 Westchester Drive, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

The Poland Riverside Cemetery, 110 Riverside Drive, requests that all Christmas decorations be removed by April 1.
Ministry banquet

The 24th annual Heart Reach Ministries banquet will be at 6:30 p.m. April 12 at Victory Christian Center, 3899 McCartney Road.
Reservations are due by April 2 by calling 330-744-2000, ext. 12. The cost is $35 a person or $280 per table.
Heart Reach, 211 Redondo Road, is a ministry-driven, family-focused and community-minded organization that offers programs and activities for inner-city youth and adults. Among the youth programs are Sidewalk Sunday Schools, elementary after-school programs and in-school assemblies.
Adult programs include ABLE (Adult Basic Learning Education) and the Resource Opportunity Center, which provides job training and employment services.
Heart Reach has been in existence for 20 years.
Dem media event
SHARON, Pa.
The Mercer County Democrat Committee will host a media event from 4 to 6 p.m. March 22 at Billy’s Black & Gold, 514 N. Sharpsville Ave.
