Preservation panel accepting nominees

YOUNGSTOWN

The Historic Preservation Committee of the MVHS Board of Trustees is seeking nominees for the seventh annual Historic Preservation Awards program to honor those in the Mahoning Valley who take an active role in preserving historic buildings, sites and districts.

Historic preservation projects in Trumbull and Mahoning Counties are eligible for recognition in appropriate categories. Award winners will be announced to the public during Historic Preservation Week in May and recognized by the members of the Mahoning Valley Historical Society at the annual meeting in June.

Completed nominations are due by April 6.

A brochure containing all awards program criteria and an application form are available on the society’s website, www.mahoninghistory.org, or by mail.
