Mr., Mrs. Evans mark 67th year of their marriage

PONTE VEDRA, FLA.
Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Evans of Ponte Vedra, Fla., formerly of Warren, recently observed their 67th wedding anniversary.
On Feb. 28, 1945, Mr. Evans, known as Roy, and Charlotte Brooks, nicknamed Gerry, exchanged wedding vows at the United Methodist Church in Mineral Ridge.
The couple have a son, Jim Evans (Louise) of St. Louis; and a daughter, Patricia Evans of St. Augustine, Fla. They also have three granddaughters, Tabitha Schneider of Reno, Nev.; Charlotte Schneider and her husband, Gary Schweizer, of Ormond Beach, Fla.; and Laura and her husband Ed Leubbert of Ferguson, Mo. They have a grandson, Nathaniel Carlson of St. Louis; and a great-granddaughter, Sierra Schneider of Jacksonville, Fla.
Mr. Evans retired as a supervisor at Republic Steel after working there 38 years. Mrs. Evans worked as an office manager at Woolco, and they both retired in 1983.
Since retiring they lived in Fort Myers, Fla., and Ocala, Fla., before settling in Ponte Vedra.
