Free training on emergencies involving hybrid cars

Area police, fire and other rescue personnel are invited to a free training session at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday offered by Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC on how to respond to hybrid vehicles in emergency situations.

The clinic will be conducted by experts from General Motors at the Sweeney Chevrolet dealership, 7997 Market St. Seating is limited to the first 125 who register. The seminar will review how to identify hybrid vehicles, how the systems operate and what types of safety precautions are necessary.
