Chamber meeting
YOUNGSTOWN
Mark Kvamme, president and interim chief investment officer for JobsOhio, will be the keynote speaker at the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber’s annual meeting from 11:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on March 22 at Mr. Anthony’s in Boardman.
The chamber will also present three awards to community members.
This year’s honorees are:
Dr. Rashid Abdu, senior surgeon, St. Elizabeth Health Center; emeritus director of surgical education, St. Elizabeth Health Center; and emeritus professor of surgery, Northeastern Ohio Medical University, who will receive the William G. Lyden Jr. Spirit Of The Valley Award.
Richard H. Dearing and Rebecca S. Wall, president and vice president of Dearing Compressor & Pump Co., who will receive the Donald Cagigas Spirit Of The Chamber Award.
Patrick J. Ungaro, Liberty Township administrator and former mayor of Youngstown, who will receive the Chairwoman’s Political Achievement Award.

Inventors to meet
Liberty
The Youngstown & Warren Inventors Association meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Liberty Township Administration Building, 1315 Church Hill-Hubbard Road.
The guest speaker will be Karl Beitzel, an inventor and owner of Jack Hooks Co. in Canton. Beitzel will give a presentation on his knotless fishing hook and also on a medical-surgery device he developed for use on the eyes of people suffering from glaucoma or presbyopia. The meeting is free.
PNC to debut branch
Youngstown
PNC Bank will debut its new branch location in City Centre One at 100 E. Federal St. on Monday.
The new branch is the first step of the move of its regional headquarters, and features environmentally friendly renovations.
The 15,000-square-foot space is designed to achieve the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED Certification for commercial interiors. All downtown PNC employees will move to the new space during the week.
In conjunction with the move, PNC will donate about 250 pieces of furniture from its former offices to local nonprofit organizations. On March 26 and 27, the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley will host an open house for nonprofits to shop among the selections at 200 McClurg Road, Boardman, from noon to 4 p.m. those days.
Leadership program

Applications for the Leadership Mahoning Valley Class of 2012-13 may be submitted through May 1. The 10-month program focuses on major community systems such as education, health, human services, government, justice, labor, business and poverty. The tuition fee of $2,000 covers program costs.
