Dominique S. Scrivens, 19, of Heather Lane Northwest, will be arraigned Monday on an aggravated-burglary charge resulting from his arrest Thursday afternoon.

Police arrested Scrivens and a 16-year-old boy about 1 p.m. in a car. A resident of the 2200 block of Northfield Avenue Northwest had reported that at 12:40 p.m., she came home to find a male in her house carrying a television up the steps.

The male dropped the television when he saw her and ran past her and out the back door but tripped and fell on her back patio and dropped a cellphone before running off.

The woman saw the man getting into a white Dodge, noted the license-plate number and told police the direction it was traveling.

A police sergeant spotted the car on Tod Avenue and made the arrest at Robert Avenue and Garden Street Northwest.

The homeowner also saw a second male walking across her front yard just before she went into her home.

There were televisions on her rear patio, and the rear entry door to her house had been kicked in.

The 16-year-old also was charged with burglary and was taken to the Trumbull County Juvenile Justice Center.
