St. Luke Church is celebrating its 50th anniversary through a variety of fundraisers that are raising money for those in need.

These fundraisers have already resulted in a generous donation to the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley. St. Luke is also working toward raising $3,500, which will allow Food for the Poor to build a house and provide school supplies for a needy family in a poor country in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Fundraisers for these worthy causes have included a 50/50 raffle, an Ohio State basket raffle, the 40 Days of Thanks Campaign and the sale of St. Luke Christmas ornaments. The sale of these ornaments is continuing for anyone interested.

St. Luke also conducted a January White Sale, collecting more than 100 items that were donated to the Rescue Mission. The parish is currently collecting canned and dry goods to help the local agencies who care for the needy.
