SALTSBURG, Pa. (AP) — Police seized items from the western Pennsylvania home where a 17-month-old toddler was found unresponsive and later died.

According to a police affidavit Colby Jozefczyk had bruises on his forehead, cheek and arm after he died Monday after emergency officials responded to a call from his mother’s home in Saltsburg, Indiana County.

Police say they seized a bottle, cellphone, crib, blankets, and medicine from the home under the search warrant.

A cause of death won’t be released until the completion of toxicology tests.

Investigators say the boy’s mother and boyfriend told them they tried to revive the boy before medics arrived.

No charges have been filed.
