Comedian Vecchione to headline show at Powers

Comedian Mike Vecchione will return to his hometown April 14 to headline a show at Powers Auditorium.

Vecchione, who grew up in Youngstown, was a semi-finalist on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” a couple of years ago. He has appeared on several Comedy Central specials and had a guest appearance on the IFC show “Z Rock.”

Also on the bill are Johnny Walker, a regular at the Hollywood Improv who is known for his comedy songs; Tracie Jayne, who has performed with Dave Attell; and Jim Norton. Artie Lange will be the host.

The show, which will benefit the Armed Forces Foundation, will start at 8 p.m.
