5 children killed in northwest Arizona car crash

KINGMAN, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities say five children have been killed in a car crash in far northwest Arizona near the Utah border.

Mohave County sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene Wednesday afternoon about 17 miles south of Centennial Park, known as the Arizona Strip.

The crash might have happened sometime late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning. It remains under investigation and the sheriff’s office says alcohol may be a factor.

Authorities have not released any names.
