DRS receives honor

YOUNGSTOWN

DRS LLC, a Youngstown-based information-technology consulting firm and service provider has been named to CRN’s annual list of 250 “Tech Elite” companies.

CRN is a technology re-seller. It worked with UBM Channel research group and a team of outside experts to define customer-beneficial technical certifications in information technology.

It was the second time in two years that DRS was named to the list.

“It is an honor to be named to this list for a second time,” said DRS CEO Mike Meloy. “We have worked hard over the past year to not just maintain our certifications, but also to increase the number and level of them. Our company wants to continue to offer innovative IT solutions to customers.”

DRS operates two data centers in Youngstown and another in Westerville. It has built more than 800 miles of dark fiber in Ohio and Pennsylvania to allow for faster broadband connections.
