Police probe death of toddler in housing project

SALTSBURG, Pa. (AP) — Investigators are withholding autopsy results on a 17-month-old western Pennsylvania boy while they investigate the circumstances surrounding his death after they were called to a housing project.

Little Colby Jozefzcyk died about noon Monday at a Greensburg hospital, not long after police were called to a housing project in Saltsburg.

Neighbors say the boy lived with his mother and older sister in a project run by the Indiana County Housing Authority.

Police aren’t saying whether they consider the boy’s death suspicious. Neighbors say the boy’s mother, who has not been identified by investigators, tried to revive him after he stopped breathing.

Police were seen taking brown bags of unspecified evidence from the residence on Monday, but police have yet to say where this investigation is headed.
