Fugitive arrested

YOUNGSTOWN

What began as a check for a fugitive Monday led to police finding another fugitive and charging three men with burglary.

David M. Daniels, 19, of Liberty and Michael S. Moore, 22, of Youngstown, are each charged with burglary and resisting arrest. Justin G. Patterson, 20, of Youngstown, is charged with burglary, resisting arrest and obstructing justice and also was wanted on two robbery warrants out of the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office.

About 11 a.m. Monday, Youngstown police and the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force searched for a man at a Lauderdale Avenue home on the city’s North Side. Officers were setting up a perimeter around the house when three men fled through a first-floor window, reports state. Police said they followed footprints in the snow to 41 Roslyn Drive and found the men hiding in closets upstairs. The homeowner was contacted and said she did not know the men and they did not have permission to be in her house.
