BAZAARS

Salem Memorial Building Association will host its annual Spring Arts & Crafts Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Seasonal items and gifts will be featured, as well as locally made arts and crafts and a basket auction.

BOOK SALES

Salem Public Library is announcing its Spring Used Book Sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 24 in the gymnasium at St. Paul School, 925 E. State St., Salem (next door to the library). The sale will include fiction and nonfiction books in regular and large print format, magazines and a large selection of picture books. The sale is sponsored by the library’s Memorial Fund Association, and proceeds support the library. For information call the library at 330-332-0042.

CRAFT SHOWS

Ladies of St. Maron Church, 1555 S. Meridian Road, are looking for vendors as they prepare for their first fall Craft, Antique and Flea Market. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 8 at the St. Maron Recreational Area. Vendor spaces cost $35. For information call 330-533-9337.

FUNDRAISERS

Canfield Welcome Wagon will host a “Murder Mystery Dinner Theater” at 6 p.m. March 23 at Antone’s Banquet Center in Boardman. The event includes dinner and a live performance, and there also will be silent and basket auctions. Tickets are $50, and proceeds will benefit local charities. Get’n Fit Aerobics will be hosting a fundraising event at 7 p.m. Friday at Old North Church, 7105 Herbert Road, Canfield. Donations will be accepted at the door ($5 is suggested). Glenn Christian Foundation Church will host a roller skating party from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Cort- land Roller Rink on Saturday. The cost is $5 for skating and $3 for skate rental. Music and door prizes will be featured. This fundraiser is for the Ox Roast Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show, the Labor Day Weekend Extravaganza at the Trumbull County Fairgrounds.

Good Hope Lutheran Church, 98 Homestead Drive, Boardman, will have a bake sale Tuesday when the polls open at 6:30 a.m. until sold out or the polls close. Sloppy joes, chips and punch will be sold for lunch. Proceeds will benefit Good Hope’s Cancer Relay for Life.

SALES

Wickliffe Block Watch will have a trunk sale from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 30 at Wickliffe Christian Church, 3939 Potomac Ave., Austintown, in conjunction with its annual block party. Spaces are available for $10. The party is open to all Austintown residents and will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be cash prizes awarded to the winners of a hot dog eating contest for the age groups 8 to 12, 13 to 17 and 18 and up. There also will be music, games, face painting, a basket auction, door prizes, antique cars and demonstrations by area safety forces. The Block Watch will provide free food, and the Austintown Police Dept. will provide beverages. Menagerie Thrift and Gift Shoppe, 6037 E. Market St., Warren, is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The store sells clothing, furniture, books, antiques, collectibles and Christmas items year round. All purchases benefit Animal Welfare of Trumbull County, a nonprofit organization. North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Dr., will have a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 16 and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 17 ($2-per-bag sale on the 17th). There also will be a bake sale and concession stand.

TRIPS

Jehovah’s House of Prayer Church of God in Christ is sponsoring a shopping trip to New York City March 31 to April 1. Shopping will be in Queens, Chinatown and Harlem. Payment of $85 is due by Friday. Tickets are not transferable, and there will be no refunds. The departure from Liberty Plaza will be midnight Saturday behind Arby’s. There will be a 6 a.m. stop for breakfast, shopping all day, then 9 p.m. departure for Ohio, arriving Sunday morning. Relay for Life, Team Rachel is sponsoring a trip to Mountaineer Casino on Saturday. Boarding begins at 9:30 a.m. at the parking lot of St. Edward Church, 240 Tod Lane, Youngstown, and the bus will leave at 10. Departure time from Mountaineer is 4 p.m., arriving back at the church at 5. Reservations can be made with Diane McNally Bassetti at 330-518-2850 or Ron Britt at 330-545-2495. The cost is $30 per person.
