Snowy weather return causes multiple crashes in southern, central Ohio

CINCINNATI (AP) — Temperatures dipping below freezing left icy patches blamed for accidents that snarled morning traffic across western and central Ohio.

There were no immediate reports of serious injuries, but emergency vehicles were summoned this morning for crashes along Interstate 275 north of Cincinnati. Traffic authorities said about a dozen accidents caused major backups there.

At least part of Interstate 71 northbound south of Columbus was reported closed Monday morning because of a semi-involved crash. There were also weather-related accidents in the Toledo area.
