YSU women fall to Cleveland State in regular season finale

CLEVELAND

The Youngstown State women's basketball team lost to Cleveland State 79-69 on Saturday in the Penguins' regular season finale at the Wolstein Center.

The loss means YSU (10-19, 4-14) will finish last in the 10-team Horizon League. The Penguins will get a second chance at the Vikings on Monday when they travel to Cleveland State for the first round of the Horizon League tournament.

YSU would have hosted a first round game if it had beaten Cleveland State on Saturday. The Penguins have lost eight straight games.
