Salem center offers lifeguard training

SALEM

The Salem Community Center, 1098 N. Ellsworth Ave., will offer an American Red Cross Lifeguard Training course weeknights from 5 to 8 p.m. March 12 to March 23. The course is open to anyone 15 and older with a basic knowledge of swimming. Participants will earn certification in Lifeguard Training, First Aid, Professional Rescuer CPR and AED Essentials. The cost is $220 for members and $260 for nonmembers. To register call the center at 330-332-5885.
