Valley spared weather destruction hitting Ohio, surrounding states

Several possible tornadoes touched down Friday in southwest Ohio, killing one person, injuring several and damaging property as it moved through the area, authorities said.

The Mahoning Valley, spared the intensity and destruction that also ravaged through Kentucky, Tennessee and Indiana, remained under a high-

wind warning overnight.

Today’s forecast calls for windy and much colder with highs in the lower 40s.
