Some West Siders without power due to tree falling on power line

YOUNGSTOWN — About 165 Ohio Edison customers on the city’s West Side, near Mill Creek MetroParks, lost power this morning when a tree fell on a power line on Bears Den Road.

As of 11 a.m., power was restored to 80 customers. Power will return to the remaining 85 customers early this afternoon, said David Turner, Ohio Edison’s area manager for Mahoning and Columbiana counties.
