Phantoms and circus tickets at food drive

The Youngstown Phantoms are partnering with Feld Entertainment and the Second Harvest Food Bank of Mahoning Valley to give something back to hockey fans who donate to help the less fortunate.

A food drive will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Covelli Centre, and everyone who donates 10 nonperishable food items will receive two ticket vouchers for the Phantoms-Indiana Ice game Wednesday, plus one ticket voucher for one of the eight upcoming Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus performances coming to Covelli March 30 through April 2.

There will be a limit of four Phantoms ticket vouchers and two circus ticket vouchers per family.

A maximum of 800 Phantoms ticket vouchers will be given away.

The Phantoms will take on Team USA at 7:15 p.m. Saturday at Covelli Centre.

“Local Heroes” — the Youngstown Police and Fire departments as well as the men and women in the U.S. Armed Forces — will be honored at the game.

A portion of all group ticket sales will go to Crime Stoppers and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
