Humility of Mary Health Partners Physician Associates announced the opening of the newly renovated Boardman Medical Pavilion.

The million-dollar, 10,000-foot expansion of the pavilion’s second floor will offer more office and clinical-care space for several HMHP Physician Associates practices, including endocrinology, general surgery, breast care, maternal fetal medicine and plastic and reconstructive surgery. The building is at 8423 Market St. next to the St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.

The Rev. John Trimbur, HMHP spiritual-care adviser, delivered a blessing Wednesday at the facility’s dedication, and a Hindu blessing was performed by Dr. Sudhakar Rao.

Bob Shroder, president and CEO of HMHP, said the expansion will allow patients to find services closer to home.

“A lot of the patients wanted to come to this one campus, so we put more of our physicians here,” he said. “It’s just easier. ... They can go to the facility that’s closest to them.”

Renovations began in October and were funded by the hospital. Shroder said the hospital plans to add more doctors to the site as it expands.

“This represents we’ve been growing,” said Rod Neill, director of physician-practice management. “This just represents the next step in the growth of our organization.”
