America must mend its ways
America must mend its ways
The Feb. 24 letter, “Reciting a long list of dislikes” is typical of hypocritical divisive individuals in both parties. They both do the same thing and then accuse each other of doing wrong. The writer rants on and on about Republicans and makes sweeping generalizations which are not true.
All of these individuals are just rabble rousers who incite anger and hatred against those who believe different things than they do. The real problem is that a house divided cannot stand and if those in the government cannot work out their differences they will destroy the nation together.
They slander each other instead of proposing ideas that will strengthen our country and bring our country back to being a nation that will take care of its’ own people and stop trying to control and police the world while ignoring the problems at home.
Both parties take stands that are against what Jesus and the Holy Scriptures teach us.
In our nation it is legal to kill an unborn child but not an unborn whale. People take better care of their pets than their children. Education should be a right to all who qualify and no one should pay for it. The country subsidizes so many useless things and then fails to protect and educate our most precious resource, our children.
We have soldiers in countries around the world and yet we cannot secure our own borders. Every great nation in history has fallen because of immorality, greed and selfishness, and this is exactly what is ruling in America. It is time for the politicians to stop their childish bickering and start to work together for God and country before it is too late and America becomes another fallen civilization.
