Experts offering advice at area community gardens
YOUNGSTOWN
Ohio State University Extension office is sending in experts to communities all around Youngstown this month to help communities grow their own food.
Every Monday, beginning this Monday through Aug. 20, the experts will meet at several different community garden locations to share details about plants growing at that garden and to answer your gardening questions.
Eric Barrett and Bill Snyder from the extension service office will offer their expertise on growing home vegetable gardens.
On Monday, the group meets at 6 p.m. at Fairgreen Neighborhood Garden & North Quarter Farm, 1443 Ohio Ave. (corner of Ohio and Fairgreen avenues), on Youngstown’s North Side.
Participants should bring a notepad and a lawn chair for seating as well as their gardening questions.
Details are posted on the website at: http://go.osu.edu/Veggies. For information, contact OSU Extension 330-533-5538 or go to its website http://mahoning.osu.edu.
