dress to succeed Outreach ministry

Greater Friendship Baptist Church, 646 Lakewood Ave., Youngstown, is the site of Dress to Succeed ministry, which provides free clothes for people. The boutiquelike setting makes the ministry unique. It is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

Hours of operation: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays, 12:30 to 3 p.m. Wednesdays, 6 to 8 p.m. Thursdays and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.

Giveaway this weekend: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today outdoors at Hillman Street parking lot on church grounds. Summer clothing and sandals will be given away.

Seasonal giveaways: Free clothing is given away at the end of each season — spring, summer, fall and winter. Some children’s clothing is available.

Donation sources: The clothing, shoes and accessories for women and men come from a variety of sources such as consignment shops in the Valley — Raks, Nona’s, Encore and Penny Pinchers, and members of Greater Friendship Baptist.
