YWCA announces new board of directors

The YWCA of Youngstown recognized new members of the board of directors and issued special honors recently at its 107th annual meeting.

Fran Curd was elected president. She is a quality assurance analyst at Klais & Co. in Akron.

Also elected were Deborah S. Liptak, first vice president; Rhonda Warren, second vice president; Chris Gabrick, treasurer; and Susan C. Berny, secretary.

Newly elected members named to the YWCA board of directors for a three-year term are Adrian Anderson, business manager of clinical services, St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center, and Carla Baldwin Fields, assistant county prosecutor, juvenile division, Mahoning County Prosecutor’s Office.

Other board members include Marilyn M. Burbick, Elizabeth Hartwig, Cryshanna A. Jackson, Shelly LaBerto, Shirley Poindexter, Keisha T. Robinson, Amanda Sacco, Jenna Santisi, Norma J. Stefanik and Kera A. Thompson.

Elected to the nominating committee were Poindexter, Stefanik, Rita Cintavey, June Ewing, Mary Lou Green, Susan M. Moorer and Mary Jo Truman.

Jackson received the YWCA Board Member of the Year honor; Constance Shaffer received the YWCA Volunteer of the Year award; and Teresa Lipscomb was named YWCA Employee of the Year.
