The renewed interest in oil scoundrel J.R. Ewing and the rest of the “Dallas” clan has attracted more visitors to their TV-show home.

The nearly 350-acre ranch in Parker known as Southfork has had a spike in visitors since the updated show premiered June 13. The real ranch complex, located about 20 miles northeast of Dallas, is an event center that’s open to the public.

Property manager Forever Resorts reported weekday tourism numbers have doubled, to about 300 visitors daily.

The original “Dallas” ran from 1978-1991. The new show airs Wednesdays on TNT.
