Mustang and Camaro aficionados will face off Saturday at the Quaker Steak & Lube in Austintown during what is described as “not your run-of-the-mill” car show. At the Fifth Annual Mustang vs. Camaro Showdown, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the public will pick the winner; each vote will cost $1. The top three cars will win trophies. The North Eastern Ohio Camaro Club will pick the best Mustang, and the Mahoning Valley Mustangs will pick the best Camaro. The event raises money for Angels of Easter Seals and will feature a DJ, door prizes, a 50-50 raffle and a basket auction. Car owners will pay a $5 per car minimum donation. From left to right are John Keller, Mustang Club of America director; Betty Keller, vice president of Mahoning Valley Mustangs; Joan Zarlenga, president of Angels; Hunter Crites, Easter Seals client; and Carol O’Neill, of Angels. For information call 330-581-8382 or 330-730-3348. The showdown will go on rain or shine.
