The Superintendent of Warren City School has tendered his resignation after just one year on the job.

Dr. Bruce Thomas, formerly the assistant and regional superintendent for Marietta city schools, tendered his resignation on Tuesday. No reason was given for the departure.

The school board will meet in a special session at noon on Thursday to accept the resignation and appoint an interim superintendent.
