Campbell will be flushing hydrants
campbell
Campbell’s water department is flushing hydrants this week. Flushing started Monday in the 1st Ward.
It continues today in the 2nd Ward, Wednesday in the 3rd Ward and Thursday in the 4th Ward.
It’s not uncommon for a yellow, brown or red tint to appear in water during flushing.
If residents notice it, they shouldn’t be alarmed, the mayor’s office said. It’s the result of harmless mineral deposits settling in water mains.
Water customers are advised to check their water for signs of discoloration before they do laundry.
If water appears discolored, let it run until it clears.
