Dinner to be benefit for cancer patient

NORTH LIMA

A spaghetti dinner fundraiser has been scheduled from 1 to 4 p.m. July 15 at The Gate Church (former South Range School), 11836 South Ave., to benefit Joni Barr, who has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

Prices are $8 for adults and $4 for children ages 3 to 10.

Barr is employed as a nurse associate at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Boardman. She might not be able to return to work for a year, which creates a financial hardship for her family.

Along with the dinner will be a basket auction and visits from Batman, Spiderman and Dora the Explorer.
