Miss Thomas, Mr. Losnegard to wed in Calif.

WARREN

Mr. and Mrs. Richard R. Thomas of Warren are announcing the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Erika Marie Thomas, to Christopher N. Losnegard, both of Fullerton, Calif. The future groom is the son of Jeff Losnegard and Debra Losnegard of Seattle.

St. Mary Church in Fullerton will be the setting of their July 27 marriage ceremony.

Invitations will be extended for a reception at the historic Villa Del Sol courtyard in downtown Fullerton.

The parents of the bride-to-be also will extend invitations for a reception Aug. 11 at DiLucia’s Banquet Center in Warren.

Miss Thomas earned a bachelor’s degree in communication from John Carroll University and a master’s degree in communication studies from Miami University. She earned her Ph.D. in communication studies from Wayne State University. She is an assistant professor and director of forensics in the Department of Human Communication Studies at California State University in Fullerton, where she coaches the nationally competitive speech and debate team.

The prospective groom earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and history from Gonzaga University. He works as a television producer in Los Angeles, and his most recent credits include TLC’s “Craft Wars,” Food Network’s “Cupcake Wars” and “Halloween Wars” and the upcoming “Sugar Dome.”
