Theater seeks dog for new production

YOUNGSTOWN

The Victorian Players Theatre and J&B Production Arts Services are looking for a German Shepherd dog to appear in the upcoming play “Dog Days.” The play is based on the true story of Albert Wickline, a Salem native who was shot down over enemy lines in Nazi- occupied France during World War II.

The dog will make a very brief stage appearance during the play. A recording of it barking will also be used.

“Dog Days” will run weekends July 20-Aug. 5.

The dog would need to be at one rehearsal a week until July 12, and then would be needed every day. It would need to spend only a small amount of time at the theater each rehearsal.

Cash mob visits

Members of the Youngstown Cash Mob will visit Mahoning Valley Vacuum, 7178 West Blvd., Boardman, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday.

On July 7, the cash mob will visit Youngstown Nation, 8 N. Phelps St., downtown, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The new store sells Youngstown-themed T-shirts, books, posters, art and memorabilia.

Contemporary ballet
