Newton Falls Library offers free summer programs, events


Summer activities at the Newton Falls Library follow:

• Staff will assist patrons who want to download e-books and audiobooks. Sign up for a one-on-one session at 330-872-1282.

• There is still time to register for the Dream Big, Read Summer Reading for children. During June and July there will be activities and prizes. Programs will include gardening, outdoor art, Magic Tree House Club Alice in Wonderland Tea Party, a performance by KSU Trumbull Children’s Theater and a fairy catching expedition.

• Adults are invited to check out what’s Between the Covers, and teens can Own the Night. Teens and adults who participate by reading library books, magazines and audiobooks will be entered in drawings to win a Nook e-reader.

• Local author Jeanne Bryner will present Preserving Family Stories at 2 p.m. June 30. In her book, “No Matter How Many Windows,” she uses letters, photographs and documents to tell the stories of four generations of women in her family.

• At 2 p.m. July 14 Local author Delyte Delong will guide participants in creating their own Altered Book Page. Registration is required.

• At 6:30 p.m. July 30, Local author Vince Guerrieri will speak about his book, “Ohio Sports Trivia.”
