Canfield fireworks display to include music

Members of the Canfield Rotary Fireworks Fest committee are hard at work preparing for this year’s fireworks spectacular, which will take place June 30 at the Canfield Fairgrounds starting at 6 p.m.

“We invite the entire community to come together to kick off the Independence Day holiday with the first, largest and loudest fireworks celebration in the area,” said event chair and Rotarian, Sam Boak.

Boak also encourages the public to come into the Fairgrounds to enjoy the full effect of the Zambelli display, which will be choreographed to music this year. Free Fireworks Fest souvenirs will be given to the first 500 cars to enter the fairgrounds.

Event parking will be $5 per car. More than 25 vendors will be on hand with a variety of fair food for sale. Entertainment will be provided by The House Band, J.D. Eicher and the Goodnights, world record holder “Bad Habit” Monster Truck and Austintown Bounce.

This community event is sponsored by the Canfield Rotary and the support of several area businesses. In the event of rain and cancellation, the fireworks will be rescheduled for July 1. The public can visit the Canfield Rotary web site, www.canfieldrotaryfireworksfest.com for all the latest information.
