Police seek public’s help in finding missing man

NILES

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding Jorry Palm, 28, of Akron, formerly of Niles, who has been missing since June 9.

Detective Dan Atkins of the Niles Police Department says it is believed that Palm was last seen about 6 a.m. June 9 in Niles.

He had been in an Akron tavern before that and used his bank card in an ATM machine early that morning, but pictures from the ATM machine show him by himself and in no apparent danger, Atkins said.

Palm was reported missing June 9 by someone in the Akron area, and no one has reported seeing him since that date, Atkins said. His mother, Cheri Van Dyke, lives in Niles.

Palm is employed and has not reported off to his supervisor since his disappearance, which is unusual for him, so his whereabouts are a concern to his family, Atkins said.

Palm earned a bachelor’s degree from Kent State University in 2008.

Anyone with information is asked to call Niles police at 330-652-9944.
