Columbiana Fair tickets on sale

Tickets for grandstand events at the Columbiana County Fair can be purchased in advance at columbianacountyfair.org. Tickets will be available at the fair office beginning July 9.

Grandstand events include the Smoker Series Truck and Tractor Pull, Aug. 3; the Full Pull Truck and Tractor Pull, Aug. 4; and the Demolition Derby, Aug. 5. Online tickets for all events are $5.

Open houses set at Arms Museum

The Anne Kilcawley Christman Hands-On History Room at The Arms Family Museum, 648 Wick Ave., will be open every Wednesday this summer.

Children may participate in a free open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesdays, beginning this week and continuing through Aug. 15. The museum is closed July 4.

A museum educator will be on hand reading stories, making crafts, playing games and showing artifacts.

Full house tours will be available at half price during the open house.

Senior art show at Davis YMCA

The Davis Family YMCA is hosting its second annual senior-citizen art show this month at the McClurg Road facility.

More than 75 paintings by residents of local assisted- living and specialty care centers are on display.

An artists’ reception, which is free and open to the public, will be Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m.
