Donation to YNDC

Youngstown

The Home Saving and Loan Co. made a $25,000 donation to the Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corp.

YNDC is a neighborhood development organization launched in 2009 in partnership with the city and The Raymond John Wean Foundation to catalyze strategic neighborhood reinvestment in neighborhoods throughout the city, according to its website.

The company also donated $6,000 to Youngstown State University for scholarships.

Buffalo Wild Wings, 6000 Mahoning Ave., recently completed extensive renovations at the restaurant. The business has added a covered patio and more televisions throughout the restaurant.

MemoryLinks offers QR-code memorials

Youngstown Memorials has partnered with Memory- Links, the nation’s largest manufacturer and distributor of QR memorialization, to become Mahoning County’s exclusive Memory-Links dealer.

The QR code can be placed on any type of new or current memorial, including cremation niches and bronze markers.

A small QR module is placed on the memorial. When the QR module is scanned by any smart phone, the individual scanning the module will view a personalized website, created for the person buried or entombed there.

The personalized website contains a home page, which shows a photo of the person with their date of birth, death and their hometown. It also displays their biography page, which contains the complete written story of the person’s life.
