SENIOR SIDELIGHTS


Austintown Senior Center, 100 Westchester Drive, has planned the following: Monday, open exercise at 9 a.m., painting class ($5) and blood pressure screening at 9:30 a.m., bingo and Ask the Social Worker at 10 a.m. and ankle and foot care seminar at 11:30 a.m.; Tuesday, “Vets Helping Vets,” bingo and line dancing at 10 a.m., bridge club at 10:30, breakfast/brunch/lunch at 11:30, Kitchen Krew (take a bag lunch) at noon and intermediate computer class at 2 p.m.; Wednesday, open exercise at 9 a.m., bingo at 10, classic movie time “The Amish: A People of Preservation” at noon and potluck dinner at 5 p.m.; Thursday, yoga ($2) and open exercise at 9:30 a.m., bingo at 10, beginning crochet at 11:30, Austintown Senior Players and Bible study at noon and CPR class ($10) at 1 p.m.; and Friday, Wii bowling tournament at 9 a.m., bingo and discussion group at 10, and Wii practice and beginning computer at noon. Warren SCOPE Senior Center invites all seniors to join the new line-dancing class at the center, 220 W. Market St., beginning Wednesday. Norm Flavell will conduct the class from 10 a.m. to noon each Wednesday. The cost is $3 per session. For information and to register, call 330-373-6213. Also, an ultra-beginner line-dance class will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays at the center. The first session will be June 25.
