SENIOR CITIZENS


55-Plus Club will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Church in Mineral Ridge. Members will dine after the meeting and card games.

1418 Auxiliary Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Great Hall at St. Nicholas Church on Fifth Street, Struthers. John Texter will preside. Cancellations must be made today to Sandy Redeske at 330-755-5192; calls placed afterward will not be accepted. Birthdays and anniversaries will be acknowledged, and cards and bingo will be played. Illness or deaths among members should be reported to Pat Bozichovich at 330-755-7552.

AARP 4611 will meet Wednesday at St. Augustine Episcopal Church, Parmelee Avenue, Youngstown. The executive board will meet at 11 a.m., and a lunch will follow at noon. Members are asked to take a salad. April, May and June birthdays will be celebrated, a school will be chosen to receive a donation from the group, and a church service will be selected for members to attend. Final payment for the trip to Washington, D.C., Sept. 22 and 23 will be collected at this meeting. There are four seats still available on this trip; call Darlene Carter at 330-783-0542 for information. Nonmembers are welcome to the meeting and the trip.

Campbell Memorial High School January and June Classes of 1947 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Denny’s in Boardman. All members and spouses are welcome.

Girard OldTimers Club will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Lamancusa Restaurant, Trumbull Road.

Girard Senior Citizens Club will meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Eagles aerie, 26 W. Wilson Ave. June birthdays and anniversaries will be acknowledged. After the business meeting a catered picnic dinner will be served, and bingo, cards and games will follow.

Holy Family Seniors will meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Holy Family Center in Hope Hall. Use the youth center entrance. There will be cards, bingo and a 50-50 raffle. Sandwiches and refreshments, coffee and tea will be served. Hostesses are Elizabeth Steziale, Millie Chopp and Marie Adduch. Report an illness or death to Carolyn Burson at 330-757-1146.

Holy Name Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. June 24 in Founders’ Hall with Mary Calai presiding. Entertainment will include birthdays, a raffle, cards and bingo. The $6 cost of the July picnic will be collected. New members are welcome. For information call Gerry Mazzone at 330-799-4496.

Keenagers of Third Baptist Church will have a luncheon meeting at noon Tuesday at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park. Reservations will be taken at this meeting for a luncheon and play at 1 p.m. Sept. 21 at Das Dutch Village in Columbiana. A reservation costs $30 and should be paid at this meeting, if possible.

Liberty 55-Plus Club will have its June meeting at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at First Christian Assembly Church on Cardinal Drive, Liberty. Kay Herberger will preside, and hostesses are Nancy Burke, Vi Castor, Martha Howard and Mary Palko. June birthdays will be observed, and there will be a 50-50 raffle.

Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played, and Patty Perio will give the devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided. OBES Retirees will meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Friendly’s on Route 224, Poland. All OBES retirees are welcome.

REAC 3298 will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at Lucianno’s Restaurant. Debbie Taylor and Betty Evanoski will serve as hostesses, and there will be a 50-50 raffle. New members are welcome. The next meeting will be at 1 p.m. July 16.

St. Christine Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the parish center. Ruth Infante will preside, and Dorothy LoSasso and Carol McClain will give reports. Members of the luncheon committee are Chris Bartholomy, Virginia Bestic and Mary Lowery. Reservations at $8 per person will be taken for the July 18 picnic at the Croatian Home. There will be a drawing for a free lunch and a 50-50 drawing. Bingo and cards will be played. New members are welcome.
